The state of Andhra Pradesh has clearly emerged as the most preferred destination over the last few years. Our state is home to almost all the prominent IT companies and some of them have their largest Indian presence in the city of Hyderabad. In this context, I am very pleased to learn that the "Advantage AP 2012", Global IT Summit is being organized by the Information Technology and Communications Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh in association with ITsAP on June 21st and 22nd, 2012 at the Hyderabad International Convention Center.
The state of Andhra Pradesh presents a compelling case for the investments in multiple sectors. AP for a good reason has 73 out of the 373 SEZs notified in India, which is the highest in the country. The state continues to attract FDI in Petrochemicals, Real Estate, Automotive, Textile, Aerospace, Renewable Energy, Food Processing and Leather Sectors. AP is also a leader in Biotech, Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences space.
The capital city of Hyderabad has the best international airport in the country and the state of the art infrastructure on global standards including Outer Ring Road, Metro Rail Network, Expressways, Integrated Satellite Townships and much more.
Earlier this year, the Government of Andhra Pradesh hosted a very successful partnership summit in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The state was able to attract investments to the tune of over a staggering US $ 12 Billion across varied sectors such as power, refinery, gas, mining, and education. The state was able to draw so much of an investment due to the hassle free environment conducive to attracting investments.
